With the leftovers from Mimosa peeling actions we can create a new object: artisanal paper.

We will learn from artist Ap Silvestre how to make this transformation, recycling waste into something new, with several possibilities.

In the morning, we will carry out an action to control the invasive Acacia dealbata*, better known as Mimosa. In the Peneda-Gerês National Park, this plant replaces the native flora, putting biodiversity at risk.

Through a peeling technique, anyone can help stop the advance of this Acacia.
The bark that remains will be subjected to several processes that will turn it into handmade paper.

When it’s all done, there will be locally produced infusions and biscuits to enjoy.
