Join us for some ‘Acacia dealbata’ peeling.

Biologist Catarina Afonso will be with us, sharing information about the impacts of this invasive plant, better known as Mimosa, and explain how to fight it.

We’ll start by visting the trees we pealed last year on SEI 2023 and observe what happened after 1 year.

Then, we’ll move a little forward, trying to stop the advance of the Acacias on Gerês Valley.

In our only National Park, this exotic plant is growing and expanding rapidly, jeopardizing the native flora and, consequently, the fauna.

All help is important to limit the progress of Mimosas!
