Gerês & Amarela

This half-day tour is a wonderful introdution to the Peneda-Gerês National Park in a short 4 hours.

This 100km ride crosses Amarela and Gerês mountains ranges, with stops to enjoy various features, from wonderful typical constructions such as the “fojos” (ancient wolf traps) and the corn cribs to impressive natural features such as the mountains tops and the Gerês-Lobios techtonic fault.

Stunning landscapes will be a constant, from the Vilarinho da Furna lake to the Granaries of Lindoso and Soajo.

The final step includes a stop the natural spring of Lobios, on the Galician side, and driving through the Albergaria Woods, at the heart of the Biosphere Reserve.
