Rock Climbing Expeditions and Trips

Have you ever considered climbing in Peneda or in Gerês, within the one and only Portuguese National Park? You´ll be surprised with all the options.

Although Meadinha is not worldly famous (yet), some consider it as the best climbing area in the Iberian Peninsula: its 66 routes graded from V+ to 7b+ (5.8 to 5.12c on YDS) are designed for trad climbing and equipped only when it is impossible to place a protection – plus, most of the routes are of great beauty, same as the views. Climbers have been coming here since the 40’s.

You can also enjoy the 500 meters (1650 feet) long route in Nédia – easy but challenging –  or other routes in incredible spots like Rocalva – get ready for a 6 km (3,7 miles) hike – or Penha de Anamão – with a very easy access –, among others.

We don’t organize climbing trips, but we do love climbing at Keen Tours and we know the territory as few, so we can easily handle all the logistics and the usual time-consuming tasks you need to take care of when you go on an expedition.

In order to help you to make the most of your climbing trip we can provide whatever you need: equipment, transportation, accommodation, meals, permits, route topos/croquis and descriptions, finding someone to belay you, suggestions… you name it.

Let us worry about the details so you can concentrate on making the most of these stunning granite crags.
